According to the European Commission, real estate is responsible for 35% of emissions and 40% of energy consumption. By 2030, 45% and by 2050, as much as 90% of Germany's entire stock must be renovated.

To achieve these goals, the renovation rate, currently at about one percent, must at least double to two percent.
